My audio pauses unexpectedly

If your playback is pausing unexpectedly, there are a couple of things you can try:


  • You may be experiencing a network issue. Check out the section below on Network Issues Troubleshooting.
  • Android users may need to change some battery and sleep settings on your phone. Check out the Android Battery Settings section below.

Network Issues Troubleshooting

If the app is not loading or it's responding slowly, or if playback is choppy, check your internet connection. Ensure you have a stable and fast internet connection. 


If your network is fine and the issue persists, try switching to a different Wi-Fi network or enabling mobile data, or restarting your cellular reception. Additionally, if you are using a VPN or ad-blocker, please turn it off and try the app again. If Wi-Fi is not available, please check that you have enabled mobile data for the Waking Up app.


You can also attempt to resolve the issue by restarting the app or your device. 


Android Battery Settings


To preserve battery life, Android will automatically force certain apps to go to sleep, which will interrupt playback.

We have also received reports from members that some Samsung users need to:

  • Set battery optimization settings to medium for all apps 
  • Disable Face Widget 
  • Disable Canvas
