How is the app organized?
The app is structured in four main tabs:
Home
You can customize your Home experience to reflect the daily practice you intend to commit to. Choose from some of our most beloved products, including: the Daily Meditation, Moment, Quote, and Reflections. Or, if you prefer to meditate on your own you can add the Meditation Timer here and use it to elevate your unguided practice. Once you start listening to content, you’ll also find the Continue Listening feature here, which helps you pick up where you left off in any series or playlist you’ve engaged with.
Explore
This is where you can discover Waking Up’s vast content library, including:
- Practice, Theory, and Life. At the top of the Explore tab, you’ll find our three main sections, which offer series that help you meditate, contemplate, and engage in daily mindfulness exercises (Practice); understand the philosophy behind meditation (Theory); and live a more examined, fulfilling life (Life).
- Conversations and Q&A. You can also find all of Sam Harris’s conversations, and our Q&A sessions, at the top of the Explore tab.
- Search. Our search feature is located in the upper-right-hand corner of Explore. Enter a search term and then use our robust filters to find exactly the content you’re looking for.
We’ve organized our library into a number of carousels, like guided meditations, contemplations and exercises, and more, to help you find the series you’re most interested in.
My Library
This is where all of your saved and downloaded content lives, including series, playlists, and individual tracks and episodes.
More
This is where you’ll find your profile information, notifications and settings, messages, and other core functionality. If you are eligible to access our Merch Store and/or our Waking Up Community platform, you'll also find external links to these sites here.
